NEAR India Guild: Coming together during Covid-19
As of 25th April 2021, the Indian subcontinent has seen more than 17 million active cases with the number rising exponentially over the past couple of days. In hard times like these, the citizens of India from various communities have come together to help each other in various ways — monetary means, providing necessities like oxygen cylinders, food, free care by doctors, etc.
As the country grapples with the pandemic, several regions in India are in dire need of essentials as well as medical supplies such as oxygen cylinders and concentrators, food, medicines, etc. In order to step forward and help those in need, there was a recent call to action by one of our active Indian crypto community members — Sandeep Nailwal from Polygon on Twitter(original tweet link: https://twitter.com/sandeepnailwal/status/1385968552679727113?s=19)
Following his lead and in order to do our bit, we, at NEAR India Guild have decided to approach the NEAR Global Community to contribute towards the cause and help India recover sooner than later.
As community leaders, organizers, volunteers, or mere participants, these are times when we can truly come together to make a difference. Every effort — small or big is highly appreciated by the NEAR India Guild and we thank the community for always extending their support in these difficult times.
We have created a wallet for collecting the NEAR funds which would then be sent to a fiat account and all the transactions will be transparently available for the community to take a look at the progress.
